NZFAP Standard v9 includes a small number of minor updates following the more significant changes made in 2025.
There are no new requirements for farmers, and most farms are unlikely to need to change the way they currently operate. The refinements are intended to improve flow, strengthen clarity, and make the programme easier to follow in practice. Changes are clearly marked as “(Amended)” within the Standard. The key changes relate to:
Record retention
Farm and infrastructure maps
Agrichemical records and storage
Mortality records
Livestock transport
