Safe and efficient transport, with a focus on animal welfare, is a vital part of any integrated supply chain
In 2024 the management of New Zealand Land Transport Assurance (NZLTA) was incorporated under NZFAI, consolidating supply chain assurance for red meat and wool under one organisation.
Under this programme, NZLTA-certified depots are audited every two years. Site, truck, crate, driver, and animal welfare checks are carried out at random, throughout the year.
